About the DJI Zenmuse H20
The DJI Zenmuse H20 is a triple-sensor gimbal payload combining a 20 MP zoom camera, 12 MP wide camera and a 1200 m laser rangefinder for Matrice 300 RTK; the current DJI Matrice 350 RTK specification also lists H20 as supported.

Common Failure Modes
Symptoms: Visible image is soft, black or unstable, or zoom/focus fails where fitted.
Likely areas: Lens/window, camera settings, focus/zoom path, gimbal and data link.
Separate optical, control and transmission symptoms before choosing parts.
Symptoms: A distance/targeting function gives no reading or an implausible result where fitted.
Likely areas: Target reflectivity, visibility, safe range, laser window and mode settings.
Compare the exact model’s official ranging conditions; do not assume a sensor fault from a poor target.
Symptoms: Gimbal movement is abnormal or the aircraft does not recognize the payload.
Likely areas: Supported aircraft/firmware, SKYPORT contacts, power and gimbal.
Power off before inspecting the detachable mount; do not force the axes.
Symptoms: Damaged housing, wet contacts, scratches or corrosion after exposure.
Likely areas: Housing, seals, optics and contacts.
Use the model-specific IP rating; never treat the payload as waterproof.
Repair Notes
Confirm H20, H30 or Z30 and the exact aircraft/firmware pairing; camera and ranging features differ by model.
Test visible camera, zoom/focus and any ranging function separately under documented conditions.
Power off before detaching the payload. Check contacts and gimbal motion without forcing or misaligning parts.
Verify image, control and any range workflow in a controlled test before operational use.
