Symptoms, Evidence and Diagnosis
Before this lesson: Drone Repair Complete Guide
What you will understand
- Know what to record, when to stop and when service begins.
- Separate observable evidence from assumptions before choosing an action.
- Continue through the main lesson path or enter a focused topic branch when needed.
DJI error-code support
An error code is a clue, not a repair verdict
A message can help a customer describe what happened. It does not prove the failed part, the condition of the exact aircraft or the right repair path. Start by preserving the evidence that makes the next decision clear instead of relying on a generic code list.
Quick answer
Record the exact message first. Keep the model, controller, supplied batteries, screenshots and the event history together. Then confirm the product-specific support path or obtain a written assessment before deciding on a repair, a part or a replacement.
What should a DJI error-code record contain?
Why a public code list cannot settle the repair answer
The same kind of message can sit beside different product histories, controllers, batteries, visible conditions and prior service records. A useful support path distinguishes the exact evidence from the assumptions that still need to be checked. It does not turn a short code into a promise about a part, a final quote or a result.
- Keep the exact wording: a screenshot is usually more useful than a memory of a number.
- Keep the kit together: record the aircraft, controller, batteries and supplied accessories that were present when the issue appeared.
- Keep history visible: note any impact, moisture exposure, previous service or unknown period in the unit's history.
- Keep the boundary written: a repair decision should state the observed finding, proposed work, testing and anything that remains outside the approved scope.
That is how Reboot Hub approaches a technical concern: from the customer's perspective, the potentially worrying questions are surfaced early rather than hidden behind a generic diagnosis.
When a written assessment is the sensible next step
A diagnostic fee is charged for an inspection. If a repair is approved, it becomes a service credit toward eligible labor or service charges; it does not apply to parts, taxes or special-order items, and it cannot exceed the labor or service charge. If a repair is declined, the diagnostic fee covers the inspection and Reboot Hub pays return shipping.
Repair work normally takes 1-3 business days after quote approval. Repair work has a 30-day repair warranty. That is separate from the 180-day product warranty for qualifying complete pre-owned products.
