The Reboot Hub Standard
A public record of how we inspect pre-owned DJI equipment, document repair decisions, show buyer evidence, and define the limits of our warranty. The standard is designed to make each promise checkable before you buy or approve work.

One standard, two paths
What this standard covers
The checks for a pre-owned unit are not the same as the steps for a customer repair. We separate them so buyers can see which evidence applies to their order and which promises do not.
Inspected pre-owned equipment
Condition, serial-number status, battery information, flight systems, imaging, transmission, and software are checked when the unit can be activated and tested. The product listing and pre-dispatch evidence remain specific to the actual unit.
Customer repair service
The device is documented at intake, diagnosed, quoted, repaired only after approval, checked again, and prepared for return. The estimate identifies the proposed work and the condition of replacement components.
Evidence before promises
What a buyer can verify
Evidence is tied to the order wherever practical. It is not a generic certificate intended to stand in for the actual item.
Actual-item condition photos
Images show the exterior and relevant components of the unit being prepared for the customer, including visible wear where present.
Functional evidence
For eligible activated equipment, a power-on or functional record can support the listing and pre-dispatch review. Test scope depends on model, activation state, and safe operating conditions.
Order-specific evaluation record
Where prepared, the private customer record can include condition photos, device or activation status, completed physical checks, exceptions, warranty scope, and accompanying video evidence. Personal and device identifiers are not published.
Packing and dispatch record
Protective packing, shipment handoff, and tracking provide a chain from the inspected item to the parcel sent to the customer.

Inside an evaluation record
Most inspected pre-owned aircraft and higher-value equipment receive an item-specific evaluation record. A small number of low-value spare parts may not receive a full report; the product page and order record identify what is included.

The 40-point inspection map
The checkpoint map groups the inspection into five practical systems. A product page can add model-specific checks when a platform has unique sensors, controllers, batteries, or camera hardware.
Battery, flight, imaging, and software tests require an activated unit and suitable operating conditions. A never-activated unit represented as Flawless pre-owned is assessed for condition and sealed or unused status; it is not described as flight-tested unless the listing expressly says so.
Repair service
Seven phases, one approval line
Diagnosis establishes the proposed work. Repair begins after the customer approves the estimate; unexpected work is not treated as automatically approved.
Intake record
Photograph the received condition and visible damage.
Physical inspection
Review housing, camera, controls, sensors, ports, and moisture indicators where accessible.
Functional diagnosis
Test the relevant systems and isolate the likely fault.
Estimate and approval
Explain proposed work, parts condition, cost, and known limits before repair.
Repair execution
Complete the approved work and record material changes.
Quality control
Re-test affected systems and perform safe calibration or flight checks when applicable.
Return preparation
Protect the device, issue the final record, and provide shipment tracking.
Repairs use genuine OEM components where stated on the estimate. Components may include new or OEM-pulled parts depending on availability and the approved repair route; Reboot Hub does not describe an OEM-pulled component as factory-new.

The order confirmation and current warranty policy control the specific coverage. This page summarizes the standard without replacing those terms.

Trust needs boundaries
What the standard does not claim
A useful standard explains its limits as clearly as its checks. These boundaries prevent generic language from overstating what happened to a specific item.
No universal test claim
We do not call a never-activated unit flight-tested, and we do not claim a model-specific function was checked when the equipment or conditions were unavailable.
No factory affiliation claim
Reboot Hub is an independent repair parts and service provider. Reboot Hub is not affiliated with or endorsed by DJI.
No compatibility by appearance
Parts and accessories must be matched by exact model, revision, connector, or verified product evidence. Similar appearance alone is not compatibility proof.

Frequently asked
The answer for a specific order can be narrower than the general standard. Contact support with the product or repair reference when the distinction matters.
Does every pre-owned drone receive all 40 checks?
No. The full functional categories require an activated unit and suitable test conditions. Never-activated inventory is assessed for physical condition and represented according to the evidence available. The listing should state the applicable test scope.
What evidence can I request before dispatch?
Depending on the order, evidence can include actual-item condition photos, functional or power-on records, inspection notes, packing documentation, and shipment tracking. Availability is tied to the item and its activation state.
When does repair work begin?
After diagnosis and customer approval of the estimate. The diagnostic fee, credit rules, parts condition, return-shipping responsibility, and any special-order limits should be shown before approval.
Are all repair parts factory-new?
No. The estimate should identify the approved route. Genuine OEM components may be new or OEM-pulled depending on availability; Reboot Hub does not label an OEM-pulled part as factory-new.
Who performs the work?
Reboot Hub repair and inspection work is performed or supervised by personnel assigned to the relevant work. Internal responsibility records identify who completed or supervised the job; this public page does not publish individual credentials.
Which document controls a warranty claim?
The current warranty policy and the terms attached to the order or approved repair control the claim. This Standard explains the operating process but does not expand coverage beyond those written terms.
