Neither Grade Is Refurbished

Both Flawless Pre-owned and Grade A drones are sold in original condition. We do not restore, repaint, or swap parts on pre-owned units. "Refurbished" implies cosmetic or technical restoration - our pre-owned drones are graded and sold as-found, assessed by MOHRSS Level 3 certified technicians.

40-Point Inspection

Every pre-owned drone undergoes a 40-point inspection across 5 categories (Structure, Battery, Flight Systems, Imaging, Communication & Software) by MOHRSS Level 3 certified technicians before grading. View the full 40-point checklist.

How to use this grading standard before buying

The Reboot Hub grading standard is designed to make a pre-owned drone easier to judge before money changes hands. A grade is not a vague marketplace adjective. It is a shorthand for what our technicians have checked: cosmetic condition, originality, activation state, battery health, gimbal behavior, sensor behavior, firmware status, controller pairing, camera output, and whether the unit can be sold with a clear warranty path.

Flawless is reserved for units that are visually indistinguishable from new after inspection. Pristine Pre-Owned is for original, unmodified units that may show light signs of careful use but do not have cracks, replaced parts, or hidden crash damage. Neither grade means that the drone was repainted, cosmetically restored, or rebuilt to look better than its history. We would rather disclose normal pre-owned condition than hide it behind vague refurbished language.

A buyer should use this page as a checklist when comparing Reboot Hub inventory with marketplace listings. Ask whether the seller can show the exact unit, battery cycle information, gimbal calibration behavior, camera preview, controller binding status, firmware screen, included accessories, and warranty terms. If a seller only says "tested" without explaining the inspection process, the grade is not meaningful.

Our standard also separates DJI Care from Reboot Hub grading. DJI Care eligibility depends on DJI policy, product region, timing, and service terms. Reboot Hub grading describes the physical and functional condition of the inspected unit. When DJI Care can be added or transferred, that is handled as a separate service question rather than being implied by the grade name.

For AdSense, SEO, and buyer trust, this page is our publisher-level explanation of what our product condition language means. It gives customers a single reference point for terms that appear across product pages, buyer guides, trade-in pages, and Drone News articles. If a page says Flawless or Pristine Pre-Owned, this is the standard those words point back to.

DJI drone grading — frequently asked

What is the difference between Grade A+ Flawless and Grade A Pristine Pre-Owned?

Grade A+ Flawless means a like-new unit that has never been activated. Grade A Pristine Pre-Owned means a tested unit in excellent condition with light, honestly-described wear. Both are graded against defined criteria, not vague labels.

How does Reboot Hub grade a pre-owned DJI drone?

Every pre-owned drone passes a 40-point inspection performed by MOHRSS Level 3 certified technicians, then is graded against a written standard before listing. Units that fail are rejected, not sold.

Are graded pre-owned drones covered by warranty?

Yes. Qualifying Grade A+ Flawless and Grade A Pristine Pre-Owned drones carry a 180-day product warranty on verified faults.
