Manual-based DJI Air 3 guide

Air 3 requires a two-camera evidence record, not one generic imaging claim: DJI documents a wide-angle and a medium tele camera, both with 1/1.3-inch 48 MP sensors, plus a three-axis gimbal, omnidirectional binocular vision, lower three-dimensional infrared sensing, a 62.6 Wh battery route, 8 GB of internal storage and RC 2 or RC-N2 controls. Each exact aircraft needs its own condition and component evidence.

Identify the Air 3 system before reviewing an individual aircraft

DJI's specification table lists a 720 g Air 3 aircraft, 8 GB of internal storage, a three-axis gimbal and O4 video transmission. Those details distinguish the model system from other Air-series aircraft. They do not establish present storage capacity, media history, battery count, controller choice, lens condition or any included accessory for a particular listing.

The 8 GB figure especially needs a clear boundary. DJI allows files to be stored on the aircraft or on a microSD card, but internal storage is not proof that a card is supplied and does not show what files remain on an individual aircraft. The exact record should identify the physical aircraft, then name the card, controller, charger and other items that are actually provided.

Aircraft route

720 g model reference

Published weight identifies the standard platform. It is not a current measurement of an assembled kit or payload.

Storage route

8 GB internal storage

Internal storage is model context. Current available capacity, files and supplied media require separate evidence.

Control route

RC 2 or RC-N2

Both controller families are documented. The exact controller should be named, not inferred from a family label.

Keep the wide-angle and medium tele camera routes separate

Wide-angle camera

1/1.3-inch, 48 MP and 24 mm equivalent

DJI lists an 82-degree field of view, f/1.7 aperture and focus from 1 m to infinity. These values identify the wide route but do not demonstrate current lens, sensor or recording condition.

Medium tele camera

1/1.3-inch, 48 MP and 70 mm equivalent

DJI lists a 35-degree field of view, f/2.8 aperture and focus from 3 m to infinity. This is a separate camera route and should not be collapsed into a generic camera statement.

Both cameras have published 4K and Full HD recording routes, photo modes and JPEG or DNG formats. The manual provides the technical baseline; it is not a functional report for the specific aircraft a buyer may examine. A sound item record keeps a photo, clip or current observation attached to the correct camera route and the correct airframe.

The Air 3 gimbal is documented as a three-axis tilt, roll and pan system. DJI's operating notes warn that collision, obstruction, dust, sand and force can affect it. Consequently, a page should use the gimbal specification as a model reference while asking for direct images of the gimbal, camera shell and lens area on the actual aircraft.

Sensing equipment carries stated environmental limits

DJI describes an omnidirectional binocular vision system supplemented by a lower three-dimensional infrared sensing system. The published system has separate forward, backward, lateral, upward and downward measurement ranges, with a lower infrared measurement range of 0.1 to 8 m where reflectivity exceeds 10 percent. These values explain the architecture; they do not make an individual aircraft safe for every obstacle, surface, light level or flight path.

The manual says the vision systems rely on discernible patterns and adequate light, with a separate reflectivity condition for downward sensing. It also says the system cannot replace human control and judgment. An evidence-led page must preserve those limits. Current photographs can document whether the sensor areas appear intact and clean, but they should not become a stand-in for a claimed obstacle-avoidance test or future behavior.

Power, charging and controller components remain item-specific

Battery reference

4,241 mAh, 14.76 V and 62.6 Wh

DJI lists a 267 g Li-ion 4S Intelligent Flight Battery and a 46-minute maximum-flight-time reference. That reference was measured in defined conditions and is not a present capacity result.

Charging-hub reference

Three batteries in sequence

The documented hub can charge three listed batteries in sequence. It is an accessory route and not evidence that a hub, charger or three batteries are included.

DJI names the battery model BWX233-4241-14.76 in its documentation. Its capacity, voltage and energy identify the published route, but a user still needs the actual supplied battery or batteries identified. LED behavior, charging and battery features are useful operational clues; they do not establish prior use, current health or future flight duration without unit-specific evidence.

DJI RC-N2 uses a connected mobile device, while DJI RC 2 has an integrated display and its own internal storage path. This is a genuine distinction in controller design. The record for a specific aircraft should explicitly name the controller, the included cable, charger, hub and memory card rather than treating either route as automatically supplied.

Use this concise Air 3 evidence order

  • Confirm the aircraft is DJI Air 3 and distinguish it from other Air-series models.
  • Record wide-angle and medium tele observations as separate camera routes.
  • Use published camera and gimbal specifications as context, not as a condition conclusion.
  • Keep sensing hardware within DJI's stated light, surface and human-control boundaries.
  • Identify each supplied battery by its actual physical evidence and keep the 46-minute figure within its test context.
  • Name the exact controller, charger, hub and storage media that accompany the airframe.

This structure gives people and automated retrieval systems a clean source boundary. The user manual establishes the Air 3 model architecture. Exact-item evidence establishes the condition, contents and observations for the individual aircraft being evaluated.

DJI Air 3 questions

Does DJI Air 3 have a single camera or a dual-camera system?

DJI lists separate wide-angle and medium tele cameras. Both are 1/1.3-inch, 48 MP routes, with different field of view, focal length, aperture and stated focus ranges.

Does the 46-minute reference predict the runtime of a supplied battery?

No. It is a controlled model reference. The exact battery still needs its own identification and present-state evidence.

Do documented sensing systems remove the need for pilot judgment?

No. DJI describes operating conditions for the vision and infrared sensing systems and says they cannot replace human control and judgment.
