Manual-based DJI Mini 4 Pro guide

Identify the exact airframe and components before treating a model specification as an item claim: DJI Mini 4 Pro documentation specifies a 1/1.3-inch camera, three-axis gimbal, omnidirectional vision with lower 3D infrared sensing, two battery routes, 2 GB internal storage and two controller routes. An individual aircraft still needs its own photographs, named components and bounded observations.

Start with the exact Mini 4 Pro configuration

The manual lists DJI Mini 4 Pro at less than 249 g with the DJI Mini 4 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery, propellers and a microSD card. It separately states that the DJI Mini 3 Series Intelligent Flight Battery Plus takes the aircraft above 249 g. This is not a cosmetic difference: a record should name the physical battery in the aircraft instead of inferring it from a foldable airframe, a bundle label or a maximum-flight-time reference.

The same specification table lists 2 GB of internal storage. That is model context, not evidence of a supplied memory card, free capacity, file history or recorded media. The manual calls for UHS-I Speed Grade 3 or above microSD storage for high-resolution data. A careful item record names a supplied card separately and does not convert a recommended storage class into a claim that a card is present.

Camera and gimbal references are a model baseline, not an inspection result

DJI Mini 4 Pro uses a 1/1.3-inch CMOS camera with 48 MP effective pixels, an 82.1-degree field of view, 24 mm equivalent focal length, f/1.7 aperture and a stated focus range from 1 m to infinity. The manual lists 48 MP stills, JPEG or DNG photographs, H.264 or H.265 video and 4K recording options through 100 frames per second. These are published technical characteristics. They do not establish current focus, lens condition, sensor behavior, file quality or the camera state of a particular aircraft.

The camera is stabilized by a three-axis mechanical gimbal. DJI lists a controllable tilt range of -90 to +60 degrees and roll positions of -90 degrees for portrait or 0 degrees for landscape. Its operating notes warn that collision, obstruction, dust, sand and excess external force can affect the gimbal. The exact-item evidence route is therefore simple: show the lens, gimbal arms, protector and surrounding shell; identify the aircraft; then keep any time-bounded observation separate from the specifications.

Portrait and landscape control positions are model functions. Any actual gimbal condition must be tied to the airframe being examined.

Omnidirectional sensing has documented hardware and operating boundaries

The manual describes an omnidirectional binocular vision system at the front, back, sides and top, plus a downward vision system and a lower 3D infrared sensing system. It lists different measurement ranges for forward, backward, lateral, upward and downward sensing. The 3D infrared route is specified at 0.1 to 8 m when surface reflectivity is above 10 percent. These are model-level measurements, not a promise that an aircraft can avoid every object in every environment.

DJI states that vision systems work best with suitable light and discernible or textured obstacles. It also says they cannot replace human control and judgment, and notes that the downward vision system may not work properly near water. A model record should preserve those limits. A current item record can show the relevant sensor windows and auxiliary-light area; it must not turn visible sensor hardware into an unsupported safety result.

This distinction makes the content more useful to a buyer and to retrieval systems. The manual defines what the Mini 4 Pro was designed to contain. Exact photographs and bounded observations describe the unit that is actually being assessed.

DJI lists approximately 77.9 g, a 34-minute maximum flight-time reference and controlled test conditions. It is not a measurement of a supplied battery's present capacity.

Mini 3 Series Battery Plus

DJI lists approximately 121 g and a 45-minute maximum-flight-time reference. It is a distinct compatible route and changes the listed aircraft weight.

The manual notes that the two batteries have the same structure and dimensions but different capacity and weight. It describes LED level checks, balanced charging, auto-discharge, hibernation and cell-damage warnings. Those functions are useful points to observe, but they do not prove the history, health or future runtime of a battery. The actual code, quantity and physical condition should remain visible in the individual record.

DJI names DJI RC 2 and DJI RC-N2 as compatible controller routes. RC 2 has an integrated screen; RC-N2 holds a mobile device. Neither controller route tells a reader which controller, cable, charger, hub, propeller holder or microSD card an individual kit includes. The evidence record should name only components that are actually shown or documented for that unit.

Use this Mini 4 Pro evidence order

  • Confirm the aircraft is DJI Mini 4 Pro and identify the exact battery route.
  • Do not infer takeoff mass, battery duration or kit contents from a generic product-family name.
  • Keep camera, gimbal and sensor observations separate from the published specifications.
  • Use sensing hardware with DJI's stated surface, light and human-control boundaries.
  • Name the actual RC 2 or RC-N2 controller, charging equipment and media independently.
  • Keep any present-state observation attached to the exact aircraft and its documentation date.

The result is intentionally narrower than a broad purchasing promise. It gives a stable, source-backed Mini 4 Pro model reference while leaving individual condition, supplied contents, device history, operation approval and future behavior to evidence for the exact item.

Does the less-than-249-g specification apply with every battery?

No. DJI lists the aircraft at less than 249 g with the DJI Mini 4 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery. The manual says the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus takes the aircraft above 249 g.

Does omnidirectional sensing mean that the aircraft can avoid every object?

No. DJI describes specific vision and infrared hardware and operating conditions. It says those systems cannot replace human control or judgment.

Does the 45-minute reference establish the condition of a supplied battery?

No. DJI's 45-minute reference is a controlled windless test using Intelligent Flight Battery Plus. A supplied battery needs its own identity and present-state record.
