Confirm the goggles model before comparing specifications

DJI identifies the Goggles V2 as model FGDB28. The user guide lists approximate weight of 420 g including headband and antennas, dimensions of 184 by 122 by 110 mm without antennas and 202 by 126 by 110 mm with antennas, and two 2-inch displays. It also lists 1440 by 810 resolution for each screen. These figures provide model context only. They do not establish that a particular unit has its original antennas, headband, lenses or other components.

For an individual unit, preserve clear photos of the outer shell, headband, antenna fittings, lens area, controls, ports and any model marking. A model name can orient the check; it cannot replace a visual record. Keep visible wear, lens condition, missing fittings and modifications as separate observations rather than assuming the published model description still describes every part of the physical unit.

Record power equipment as supplied, not as assumed

The guide recommends the DJI FPV Goggles battery as a power input and lists other battery input of 11.1 to 25.2 V. Its listed goggles battery figures are 1800 mAh capacity, 9 V maximum voltage, LiPo 2S type, 18 Wh energy, charging temperature from 0 to 45 degrees C and maximum charging power of 10 W. Those are published values for the described product context. They do not show that a particular setup includes that battery, cable or charging equipment, and they do not establish present battery condition.

Use the power button only as an observation method. The guide says one press checks the battery level, while pressing and then pressing and holding controls power on or off. A recorded display or indicator can document what appeared at the time of review. It should remain separate from statements about stored energy, future runtime or the history of an individual power pack.

A clean record names the power equipment visibly present, identifies the connector and cable shown, notes whether the goggles power on, and retains the observation without silently adding unshown items. That gives buyers and reviewers a consistent boundary between handbook information and item-specific evidence.

Use published display and control information carefully

DJI lists Low Latency Mode at 810p and 100 or 120 fps, and High Quality Mode at 810p and 50 or 60 fps. It lists MP4 with H.264 video format, while supported playback formats are MP4, MOV and MKV with the codecs noted in the guide. These are features of the model described in the manual. They are not a statement that an individual goggles unit has been activated, is linked, has recorded a particular clip or will reproduce a particular field result.

The user guide describes a 5D button for scrolling and confirming menu selections, a record button for starting and stopping video recording, a back button and channel adjustment controls. Those details provide a practical inspection order: show the buttons, display the menu if the device is powered, check that controls respond as observed, and keep any warning or limitation with the item record. A blank photograph of the goggles cannot substitute for a measured physical observation.

Keep the link sequence with the devices actually checked

The guide's linking sequence starts with all devices powered on. Press the link button on the air unit, then the link button on the goggles; the air-unit indicator becomes solid red and the goggles beep continually. The guide says successful linking is indicated when the air-unit indicator becomes solid green, the goggles stop beeping and the video display is normal.

When goggles and a remote controller are used together, the guide says the air unit must link with the goggles before the remote controller. This is useful as a documented test order. It is not a universal compatibility declaration. An exact record should identify the aircraft, goggles and controller that were actually powered on, preserve the observed indicator and display state, and avoid extending that observation to a different set of devices.

What an exact-item Goggles V2 record should show

• Model marking and current physical configuration of the goggles.
• Clear views of lenses, headband, antenna fittings, controls and ports.
• The named power equipment, cable and battery shown with the setup.
• A current power-on and indicator observation where available.
• The aircraft, goggles and controller used for any documented link observation.
• Any warning, absent component or uncertainty kept visible instead of inferred away.

This structure is intentionally narrower than a product-family claim. It supports a direct comparison between published model information and the condition or contents actually documented for one setup. It also makes it easier to distinguish the goggles themselves from the aircraft, controller and power equipment that may be shown nearby.
