General buyer path

For a China-market DJI purchase intended for your intended country, the useful question is not how to alter a unit after purchase. The useful question is whether the exact unit, controller, account record, and destination evidence match before payment.

Start with version evidence, not a seller label

A Global or Universal market label is the normal cross-border starting point, but it is not blanket flight permission. A China domestic-market unit is sold for the mainland-China market; for an overseas plan, it needs stronger written evidence before a buyer accepts it as the intended configuration.

Aircraft and controller record A cross-border purchase should identify the actual system that will be delivered, not only the aircraft name. Request a current power-on record for the ordered combination.

Return or alternative path It turns an uncertain claim into a commercially manageable decision. Do not accept uncertainty without one.

Version is not GEO

GEO is location-based. It concerns the planned operating area and local aviation obligations, not the sales label on a drone. No version label creates authority to operate in a restricted or controlled location.

Keep enterprise and consumer purchases separate

Enterprise configuration review is for commercial project systems, where aircraft, controller, payload where relevant, and account or management setup form one acceptance decision. Standard Mini, Air, and Mavic purchases do not need that enterprise layer.

No. Sales version concerns the unit. DJI GEO concerns the planned flight location. A sales version does not remove local operating restrictions or replace official aviation guidance.

No. A consumer purchase normally needs aircraft, controller, account, condition, and destination evidence. Enterprise configuration review belongs to commercial project systems with project-specific equipment.

What should happen when the seller evidence is incomplete?
