India buyer path
For a China-market DJI purchase intended for India, the useful question is not how to alter a unit after purchase. The useful question is whether the exact unit, controller, account record, and destination evidence match before payment.
A Global or Universal market label is the normal cross-border starting point, but it is not blanket flight permission. A China domestic-market unit is sold for the mainland-China market; for an overseas plan, it needs stronger written evidence before a buyer accepts it as the intended configuration.
| Evidence item | Why it matters | Buyer decision |
|---|---|---|
| Exact model or SKU and serial | This ties the listing, the shipped unit, and the promised sales version together. | Keep it with the order record before payment. |
| Aircraft and controller record | A cross-border purchase should identify the actual system that will be delivered, not only the aircraft name. | Request a current power-on record for the ordered combination. |
| Account status and destination | Account state and planned country are part of the buyer's fit decision. | Ask for written confirmation or select a documented alternative. |
| Return or alternative path | It turns an uncertain claim into a commercially manageable decision. | Do not accept uncertainty without one. |
Version is not GEO
GEO is location-based. It concerns the planned operating area and local aviation obligations, not the sales label on a drone. No version label creates authority to operate in a restricted or controlled location.
Enterprise configuration review is for commercial project systems, where aircraft, controller, payload where relevant, and account or management setup form one acceptance decision. Standard Mini, Air, and Mavic purchases do not need that enterprise layer.
Commercial / enterprise
Record the complete planned configuration and support path before acceptance.
Consumer Mini, Air, or Mavic
Use the normal buyer record: aircraft, controller, account, condition, and destination. No enterprise payload or fleet review is implied.
No. A global-market label describes the intended sales market. The buyer still needs exact unit evidence and must follow local airspace, registration, and operating requirements.
Confirm the exact model or SKU, serial evidence, controller pairing, account status, intended destination, and a written alternative or return path if the delivered unit differs from the evidence.
No. Sales version concerns the unit. DJI GEO concerns the planned flight location. A sales version does not remove local operating restrictions or replace official aviation guidance.
No. A consumer purchase normally needs aircraft, controller, account, condition, and destination evidence. Enterprise configuration review belongs to commercial project systems with project-specific equipment.
Pause the purchase until the missing evidence is supplied, or use the documented return or alternative path. Do not let an informal label substitute for the purchase record.
