DJI Zenmuse Z15-GH4 (HD)
About the DJI Zenmuse Z15-GH4 (HD)
Zenmuse Z15-GH4 (HD) is DJI’s 2014 three-axis HD gimbal specified for Panasonic GH4/GH3 and an Olympus 12 mm f/2.0 lens. DJI lists a 1.26 kg gimbal and a distinct 690 g reference GH4/lens load. The supported camera/lens and gimbal calibration matter more than the similar Z15 name; do not treat the GH4 model as interchangeable with BMPCC, 5D III or A7 versions.

Common Failure Modes
Symptoms: Gimbal does not initialize, hold horizon or respond to control.
Likely areas: GCU power, receiver channels, calibrated camera/lens and gimbal mechanics
Check the exact Z15 model and DJI installation requirements before considering component service.
Symptoms: Camera image or remote camera control is unavailable.
Likely areas: camera mode, HDMI/AV path, cable, power and control configuration
Distinguish camera and transmission faults from the gimbal; verify the documented camera/lens pair.
Repair Notes
Match the Z15 model label to its DJI-listed camera, lens, weight and control limits.
Verify GCU, power, receiver channels, aircraft mount and supported software/firmware before fitting.
A used camera, lens, GCU or mount is not presumed included; confirm components and written scope after inspection.
