DJI Goggles 2 vs Integra: Lenses, Battery & Aircraft Fit
Choose Goggles 2 for adjustable diopter dials and a wider view. Choose Integra for its integrated battery and replaceable corrective lenses. Integra is not an over-glasses alternative. Confirm your vision setup and complete aircraft/controller combination before comparing used-kit prices.

Diopter dials or lens inserts, not ordinary glasses
Goggles 2 changes focus through separate adjustment dials for the two eyes. Integra changes the correction by installing suitable lenses in its removable frames. The important difference is how you obtain a clear image, not whether one headset supports eyesight correction and the other does not.
The Integra manual specifies ten pairs of corrective lenses plus one plain, zero-diopter pair. The included corrections do not address astigmatism. DJI describes using the supplied frames with additional optician-made lenses when the standard inserts are unsuitable. Goggles 2 also provides a frame-based route when its built-in adjustment does not meet the user's requirements. Neither description justifies promising a comfortable fit over everyday prescription glasses.
For a used Integra, ask which lens strengths and frames are actually included. Missing inserts can turn an apparently complete headset into an incomplete purchase for your eyes. DJI recommends installing the plain lenses even when correction is unnecessary, to protect the underlying screen glass. Inspect those protective inserts separately from the goggles' own optics.
For Goggles 2, check that both adjustment dials move and lock correctly. Both models have a 56-72 mm interpupillary-distance range. IPD alignment, prescription and face fit are different checks: a sharp centre does not automatically mean the whole image is comfortable. Do not compensate for unresolved blur simply by tightening the headband.

Compare carried weight, not two different definitions
DJI's 290 g figure for Goggles 2 includes the headband but not its approximately 122 g external battery. Adding those two published references gives about 412 g before the power cable and other accessories. Integra's approximately 410 g figure already includes its battery. This arithmetic is a component comparison, not a measured ready-to-fly kit weight.
Goggles 2 therefore puts less of that equipment on your head when the external battery is carried elsewhere. Integra keeps the power system together and avoids a separate pack dangling from a cable, but carries its battery in the headband assembly. Which arrangement feels better depends on fit and weight distribution; a headline gram figure cannot settle that.
The battery energy references are close: 18 Wh for Goggles 2 and 17.64 Wh for Integra. The different mAh ratings should not be compared alone because the voltage arrangements differ. Both have an approximately two-hour manufacturer operating-time reference, but DJI used different screen-brightness settings in the published tests. Neither figure establishes the remaining runtime of a particular pre-owned battery.
Inspect the Goggles 2 power cable and connectors with the separate pack. On Integra, check the headband adjustment, charging behaviour and visible condition of the integrated assembly. Its manual warns that battery wires run inside the headband, so do not pull it forcefully to test it. A tidy exterior is not a battery-health measurement.
View size and controls matter more than a resolution tie
Both headsets specify 1920 x 1080 per eye and a maximum 100 Hz refresh rate. Goggles 2 has the wider 51-degree field of view; Integra is rated at 44 degrees. Matching pixel counts do not prove identical perceived sharpness, edge clarity or comfort. Lens adjustment and the condition of the actual screens still matter.
Goggles 2 uses a touch panel for menu navigation. Integra uses a physical 5D button and back button. Test the actual controls before purchase: deliberate swipes and taps on Goggles 2, and directional movement, selection and return on Integra. These are different interaction choices, not evidence that one headset is universally easier for every pilot.
Goggles 2 also documents wireless video streaming from a compatible player and a 3.5 mm audio port. That media-playback feature is separate from the aircraft's live video link. For recording, the manuals list microSD ceilings of 256 GB for Goggles 2 and 512 GB for Integra. A goggles recording captures the received view; it is not a substitute for the aircraft's original camera file.
Choose the aircraft route before the headset
Do not decide compatibility from an O3 or O4 label alone. Both goggles gained support for additional products after their first manuals were released. The branches below separate established camera-drone use from Avata and custom FPV equipment.

Avata or Avata 2

- For Avata 2, that guide lists RC Motion 2 or FPV Remote Controller 2 with either headset.
- Update and verify the complete combination. Do not substitute generation-3 controllers into this route.

Air, Mini or Mavic camera drone
- The v1.4 compatibility document covers Air 3, Mini 3 Pro, Mini 4 Pro and the listed Mavic 3 variants.
- Use the documented RC Motion 2 route with supported firmware.
- Check shooting-mode restrictions before treating goggles as a replacement for the usual camera controller.
DJI's current Avata linking guide is important here: the May 2024 release-note entry that first added Avata 2 described a motion-controller-only route. That historical entry is not an exhaustive statement of today's controller support. DJI instructs users to link the aircraft with the goggles before the control device.
For camera drones, the v1.4 document includes Mavic 3, Mavic 3 Cine, Mavic 3 Classic, Mavic 3 Pro and Mavic 3 Pro Cine. Its requirements include Air 3 firmware v01.00.06.00 or later and Mini 4 Pro v01.00.0300 or later, alongside compatible goggles and RC Motion 2 firmware. Update the whole system; meeting only the aircraft minimum does not validate a mixed-firmware kit.
These camera-drone combinations do not retain every ordinary shooting feature. The document limits recording modes, and Mini 4 Pro loses portrait shooting in this goggles route. Intelligent modes such as ActiveTrack are not a reason to buy either headset for that combination. Start with the desired shot, then check the aircraft-specific restrictions in the consumer-drone compatibility document.
The current DJI compatibility matrix does not support either headset with Air 3S, Mini 5 Pro, Mavic 4 Pro, Flip, Neo or Neo 2. It does list both with DJI FPV and O4 Air Unit. Do not transfer compatibility from Air 3 to Air 3S, or from an air unit to a similarly branded ready-to-fly drone.
Transmission numbers need the paired system
The original manuals give reference latency of 30 ms at 1080p/100fps and 40 ms at 1080p/60fps, with a 50 Mbps maximum video bitrate in their documented context. Those are manufacturer reference conditions, not universal latency guarantees for every aircraft or air unit. They do not prove that two used kits will perform identically.
DJI added O4 Air Unit and O4 Air Unit Pro support in January 2025 for both headsets. That makes a blanket "O3 only" description misleading. For a custom FPV build, verify the exact air unit, its firmware, chosen receiver/control arrangement and available transmission modes. An O4 Air Unit name alone does not promise the same experience as pairing it with another generation of goggles.
What to verify on the actual pre-owned kit
- Optics and correction. Confirm the lens frames, insert strengths and protective pieces. Request a clear view through each display where available. Keep the goggles' lenses away from direct sunlight, which DJI warns can cause permanent damage.
- Power and controls. Check the separate Goggles 2 pack and cable, or Integra's integrated battery/headband, along with the touch panel or 5D button. Ask what functional checks were recorded rather than assuming a photograph proves operation.
- Complete system. Identify aircraft, headset and controller by exact names. Confirm firmware and linking evidence for that combination. A listing title containing "Motion Combo" does not establish every accessory or controller revision supplied.
- Total purchase and coverage. Compare the selected condition and included items, including any missing correction lenses, power accessories or controller. Read the applicable warranty terms and Reboot Hub Standard. The policy describes limited coverage where listed, not protection against normal battery wear or every compatibility mistake.
When the extra spend is justified
Pay more for Goggles 2 when its dials, wider view or separate-battery arrangement solve a specific need and the inspected unit meets that need. Choose Integra when its integrated power arrangement suits your routine and the supplied or sourced inserts provide the correction you require. Neither is automatically the cheaper complete purchase.
If you already own one that fits, links correctly and provides the functions you need, changing to the other is mainly a fit-and-workflow decision. It is not automatically a new aircraft-compatibility tier. Compare the actual two listings, not their launch-market positioning.
Goggles 2 and Integra questions
Can I use Integra over my everyday glasses?
Do not buy it on that assumption. DJI documents replaceable corrective lenses in frames, including a plain protective pair, rather than an over-glasses design. Check the supplied inserts and any additional prescription-lens requirements.
Is Goggles 2 really 120 g lighter than Integra?
The headset reference is lighter, but the figures include different components. Goggles 2 is about 290 g with headband plus a separate 122 g battery; Integra is about 410 g including its battery. Weight carried elsewhere and weight on your head are different comparisons.
Do Goggles 2 and Integra work with Avata 2?
Yes, under DJI's supported firmware and controller combinations. Its current linking guide lists RC Motion 2 or FPV Remote Controller 2 with either headset for Avata 2. Confirm the complete combination before purchase.
Does a used Integra include all eleven lens pairs?
Not necessarily. Eleven pairs describe DJI's original supplied lens set, not every pre-owned listing. Verify the exact inserts, frames, condition and included accessories in the selected item's record.
