What about the DJI Mini 5 Pro? At the time of writing, DJI has not announced a Mini 5 Pro. Pilots who push beyond that often keep a visual observer on a mid‑slope bench with a handheld radio and prepare a pre‑set loss‑of‑link failsafe altitude that is above the highest stockpile.
A note on regulations: CE vs FCC mode is hardware‑determined. Modifying a CE device to boost power may violate Ghana’s radio‑equipment rules. Always check with the relevant national authority before changing transmission behaviour.
The Matrice 350 RTK’s TB65 intelligent flight batteries are built for heavy enterprise cycles and can be hot‑swapped without powering down the drone. The key variable is how often the drone hovers in place versus flying steadily at a moderate speed — hovering in still, hot air builds motor heat faster. As of now, DJI has not released a Mavic 4 Pro. The question “can it survive open‑pit mining?” is less about the specific model and more about discipline. The Avata 2’s ducted design tends to accumulate dust around the prop‑guards and ducts, which increases thrust demand.
