DJI Dock 4 — frequently asked questions

Is DJI Dock 4 officially released?
Yes. DJI now lists DJI Dock 4 and a full official specification page. This Wiki entry uses those published DJI sources reviewed on 14 October 2026.
How fast does DJI Dock 4 swap a battery?
DJI states under 25 seconds in a controlled test, measured from the cover being fully closed to completion of the battery swap.
What is the DJI Dock 4 operational turnaround time?
DJI states under 45 seconds from the aircraft landing after one flight to taking off again after the battery swap, under stated controlled test conditions.
Which aircraft works with DJI Dock 4?
DJI Dock 4's official specification page identifies DJI Matrice 5TD as the supported aircraft.
Does this page claim Reboot Hub stock or installation support?
No. It is a technical reference. Confirm current regional availability, installation, integration, and service options in writing before procurement.
What is the DJI Dock 4 maximum operating radius?
DJI lists a 10 km maximum operating radius for the Dock 4 and Matrice 5TD system under its stated operating assumptions. Video transmission limits are separate and vary by regulatory region.
Can DJI Dock 4 operate without the O4 Ground Station?
No. DJI says Dock 4 must be connected to the O4 Ground Station, which supplies video transmission, RTK base-station functions, network access and data processing.
Can DJI Dock 4 swap a battery during a power outage?
Yes, when at least two batteries are present in its compartments. With AC power, one is sufficient for a swap. Backup power cannot charge the aircraft, and air conditioning and wind-gauge heating stop during an outage.
What network connection does DJI Dock 4 require?
DJI recommends Gigabit Ethernet. Both uplink and downlink must exceed 20 Mbps; 40 Mbps or more is recommended with no external devices, and network latency should be no more than 100 ms for a better user experience.
Can a DJI Matrice 4 or 4D fly from Dock 4?
No. DJI lists Matrice 5TD as the Dock 4 operating aircraft. Matrice 4 Series and Matrice 4D Series may be used for the pre-deployment site survey with up-to-date aircraft and controller firmware.
